Gnu/Linux may be immune to viruses(self replicating malicious programs that spread from host to host without user input), but no OS is immune to general malware.(For example, tricking the user into running a Trojan will obviously defeat the safeguards meant to prevent unauthorized code from executing)
Saying Gnu/Linux is completely invulnerable is dangerous because it gets users into the mindset of not worrying about security at all.
