Only one of the recommended programs
Only one of the recommended programs has a chance at qualifying as free software--Clamtk. The others are unquestionably proprietary.
One wonders what makes people think proprietary security software is worth trusting at all. With non-free software meant to keep one's system running in a way that one can trust, one is essentially saying that the black box OS you have (if you're running a proprietary OS) is untrustworthy by default so it's a good idea to install another black box to keep the first one in line and running properly. I can only guess that this logic seems sensible to people that have never been taught anything about software freedom (which, unfortunately, is most users). Thus the need to teach more people about software freedom and to relish it for its own sake.
