Looks as if Ubuntu bashing has become a fashion lately. After getting fed up with MS, Apple and Adobe now its chance for Ubuntu to face the wrath of the trolls.

Ubuntu 9.04, the Jaunty Jackalope was officially released on April 23rd 2009, and had much to live up to. For starters, the impending release of Microsoft Windows 7 has users bashing Ubuntu’s stale default interface.

The controversy continues to heat up around Microsoft's misleading anti-Linux training materials designed for Best Buy salespeople. Meanwhile, the Linux Foundation's Jim Zemlin has alleged that Microsoft tried to spread anti-Linux FUD by dumping 22 Linux-related patents in the hopes they'd be purchased by "patent trolls."

Bashing KDE has become the new black. I’m pretty sure that it started out as legitimate concerns about KDE’s direction, and then some out-of-control internet flamers/trolls/foaming at the mouth crazy people jumped on the bandwagon. By now, KDE4 is actually the AntiChrist and we will all be murdered in our beds.

Bashing Microsoft for being closed and proprietary has been a popular pastime in the media and the IT industry for many years, and there is no doubt that much of this has been well deserved...Apple’s business is evolving and see a lot of similar traits to those that were apparent as Microsoft was gaining power.

Any developers who thought Linux Foundation Executive Director Jim Zemlin's recent advice to open sourcers to stop bashing Microsoft signaled some kind of rapprochement between the rival OSes should think again.
