Light Leaks are a product of film in the camera being exposed due to a hole/gap in the cameras body letting in light. It is sometimes used aesthetically in photographs creating a sense of vividness or soft blurs of colour – usually red. In this tutorial I’ll show you how to create these light leaks in the GIMP!

blueMarine - Linux Digital Photo Workflow
With point and shoot digital camera's I have owned in the past, both F-spot and Digikam have worked well. Now that I have purchased a new DSLR I am looking into other types of software for photo management (and it will be hard for me to change after using digikam all these years....if I even change at all).
