Pardus Corporate 2 beta review
Pardus Corporate 2 is the corporate (professional) edition of Pardus, the Linux distribution developed and maintained by the National Research Institute of Electronics and Cryptology (UEKAE), Turkey. This is the first beta, released on December 13. The final release will be made available on February 16, 2011 (see the release schedule).

At a time when nearly every new Linux distro is based on or derived from Ubuntu, Pardus is a rarity. It is an original, not based on or derived from any other distro. As such, its package manager and graphical management tools are custom-developed.

Pardus 2009 Looks Fantastic
Before using Pardus, I had read in the Pardus release announcement that Pardus had been “improved graphically in every part of the distribution”. It takes about 3 seconds to realize this as you put in the Pardus CD and immediately notice splash screens that have been updated from bootloader to login screen.

Pardus 2008: A touch of refinement
Pardus is a GNU/Linux distribution funded and developed by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. Pardus has its own unique installer, package manager, configuration wizard, and control panel. This originality, and the developers' attention to detail, make Pardus worth a look.
