While in general I agree with both Dion Moult and Christian Weilbach and am in general mistrusting to cloud computing (at least in its currently most popular form), there is something else that bothers me with this hype.

Four Firefox Annoyances to Fix for 4.0
Firefox is the perfect browser, right? Well, it’s probably the best on the market — but that doesn’t mean that it’s perfect. Firefox has several annoyances — some large, some small — that we’d like to see fixed for 4.0.

Why Mono is a Red Herring
Before I begin this essay, I would like to go ahead and pre-empt any attempts to make me out like I’m a Mono shill. I’m far from it. The only application that uses Mono that I found remotely useful was F-Spot. I see no point in running Tomboy when I can just use Gedit (since files are opened in multiple tabs, just like EditPad).

...or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Look at the Wookie. Misdirection is a curious thing, and in the hands of Microsoft "evangelists" (such as Miguel de Icaza), it's positively dangerous.

How a Microsoft veteran learned to love Linux, and why it matters
I first met Bill Gates at the age of twenty. He stood in the yard of his Washington lakefront home, Diet Coke in hand, a tastefully small ketchup stain on his shirt, which no one had the courage to point out, and answered our questions, in-turn, like a savant.

Linux for Anyone?
Over the past couple of months or so I’ve mentioned how Slackware isn’t exactly beginner-prohibitive. I still believe that, and going even further I’ll say that basically anyone can run Linux using a good solid starter distribution like Ubuntu, Mint or Zenwalk (or any number of others actually, or even PCBSD).

Linux is ..... amazing
All too often people concentrate on what Linux isn't .... they look for anything lacking and make a huge big deal about it, and in doing so miss the simple fact that Linux - this little community project - can so so much.

Why Ubuntu has become the flag bearer for Linux
It's easy to argue that Ubuntu's success is because there's an unlimited supply of investment from its super-rich parent company, Canonical. But Linux isn't like any ordinary software stack.

My take on the Mono/C# debate
I’m f*cking tired of hearing random people screaming out why mono is cool or not. These kind of people don’t even know what coding is about, or they just learned Java or C# at university and they’re like “oh shit, I can code!!”. STOP THAT.

They can reach a bright future and a significant market presence through 3 different paths: the smartbook path, the cheap path and the power path. I will explain how each path will lead the Linux netbook to market dominance in a specific niche.

Software Installation on Linux: Flawed, Not Broken
Tony Mobily published an article in Free Software Magazine discussing software installation, specifically end-user software installation, on Linux, which he calls broken. I agree that the system is flawed, but it is not broken. The most important thing is that we not reinvent everything around the fragmented models that OS X and Windows use.
What about Windows and OS X?

The More Aggressive They Get, the Most Troubled They Are
MICROSOFT'S calculated attack on sub-notebooks running GNU/Linux is well documented [1, 2] and since Dana Blankenhorn finds excuses for what Groklaw concludes, it is clear that he has not been following what happened closely enough. What Groklaw offered as a "smoking gun" is just the tip of the iceberg and not even as compelling a proof as the words of ASUS and kickbacks, for example.
