Web Open Font Format backed by Mozilla, type foundries

Mozilla says Microsoft browser malware can Firefox off
Odd isn't it, how Microsoft kicked up a fuss when Google announced the Chrome plugin for Internet Explorer on the grounds that it could make the browser more insecure. Indeed, it went as far as to suggest that it doubled the potential surface area for malware and scripted attacks. Yet, amazingly, Microsoft sees no such problem with installing a plugin into the Firefox browser.

Why Aren't Mozilla and Opera Vocal About Microsoft's EU Settlement Offer?
Opponents of that proposal, including Mozilla and Opera, have criticized the fact that the ballot screen is found within Internet Explorer, which is still bundled with Windows, and the fact that any alternative browser must be downloaded, which many users will be too lazy to do. Firefox 3.6 beta set to ship next week
theregister.co.uk: Mozilla tentatively plans to release the first beta of Firefox 3.6 on 13 October. The open source browser maker is expected to spin out the next iteration of Firefox in November, and next week’s upcoming beta is understood to be the only test build.
