KTorrent 4.0 released with Magnet links and µTP protocol support

MeeGo 1.0 (Moblin + Maemo) - Linux Based OS By Intel And Nokia - Has Been Released!
MeeGo is an open source, Linux operating system based on Moblin (by Intel) and Maemo (by Nokia). MeeGo 1.0 targets mainly netbooks and supports most Intel Atom-based netbooks but MeeGo v1.0 Core also supports ARM-based Nokia N900 and Intel Atom-based in-vehicle. MeeGo doesn't work on netbooks with GMA-500, Nvidia or ATI Graphics chipsets.

Many times I have considered this very thing: Open a consultancy that focused primarily on Linux and open source. I knew there had to be a way to make it work. Many scoffed and said it couldn’t be done, that open source wouldn’t sell. But someone has done it, and done it well.

Sneak preview for coming KDE SC 4.5
KDE SC 4.5 is in feature freeze right now. Therefore, I decided to share some of early screenshots with you. In general there are no major changes. It is all about polishing and fixing bugs. There is a lot of under-hood changes in libraries which as enduser we cannot see. KDE SC will be released in August 2010. Now I will let you enjoy the screenshots.

PostgreSQL 9.0 is now in Betaphase

On-demand package installation in openSUSE 11.3
You most probably have already run into this at least once. You use the computer, try to do something and you get an error message saying "sorry, application foo is not installed", "the required plugin bar is not installed" or similar. And that's it, there it stops. You have to find out what package the required functionality is in, install it manually and try again. Like if the computer couldn't ask "but maybe I can install that, do you want me to try?" and handle it itself.

How Linux Saved A Fast Food Giant.
I am a Windows guy. I have always used Windows at home, work, school, everywhere with the exception of my phone (iPhone now Nexus One) and one Linux class at FIU. I have an A+ and MCTS in Windows Vista. Soon I will have my MCITP. I drink the kool-aid. But Linux saved me and the company I sub contract to, a large fast food giant, from near-total disaster.
