The Linux Foundation has announced that Huawei has become its newest member. Founded in 1988, China-based Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd serves 45 of the world's top 50 telecom operators and is known for its mobile communications products, including mobile phones, as well as USB and Wireless 3G modems.

Linux Foundation announces "We're Linux" video contest
Building on the success of its first contest, the Linux Foundation has announced the launch of a second "We're Linux" video contest. The non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting Linux says that videos entered into the contest should demonstrate what Linux means to its users and should inspire others to try it.
