"In February 2009, I enjoyed the privilege of attending a lecture series by Dr. Richard Stallman, founder of the free software movement, and main author of the GNU General Public License – a copyleft free software license. With his lectures still fresh in my mind, I would like to wrestle with a lingering question, for which I have not yet found a satisfying answer..."

When I was heading to download IE8 to test its JS performance, I saw this link about "Getting the facts" on web browsers. Having the knowledge of what "Get the facts" meant back in time when that was devoted to trying to put GNU/Linux in bad light against Windows-et-all, I just couldn't help myself and went in there to see what was showing up.

JavaScript: The Missing Manual
This review has been a long time coming...mainly because I've been having such a good time with this book. That said, the title is a bit misleading. It's not really "The book that should have been in the box" (even if JavaScript came in a box) since a "box of generic JavaScript" wouldn't have come with half of what this book contains.
