I screwed up my Ubuntu desktop. I accidentally deleted the panels and the icons on my Ubuntu desktop. The whole desktop is messed up, I can't figure out how to restore it?
After googling around, I found a solution how to fix this mess. To restore the Desktop settings, just run these command in the console:

Ubuntu is a popular and widely used Linux distribution today. Ubuntu is simple, easy to use, and user-friendly. Its my personal favorite GNU/Linux distribution. Ubuntu is the best alternative to Windows operating system. If you consider switching from Windows to GNU/Linux, I would personally recommend Ubuntu.

He correctly states that the term Linux, besides being thoroughly inaccurate, totally fails to introduce new users to the legal and philosophical concepts that underlie the basis of the GNU/Linux OS; but is it feasible to make such a change at this late stage?
