Every two years or so, Debian puts out a new "stable" release. This is my favorite distribution because of the minimal number of bugs and the huge software repositories and the powerful package manager.

Pieces of the roaming laptop puzzle in Debian
Today, the last piece of the puzzle for roaming laptops in Debian Edu finally entered the Debian archive. Today, the new libpam-mklocaluser package was accepted. Two days ago, two other pieces was accepted into unstable. This collection of packages allow for two different setups for roaming laptops.

KDE 4.4.3 reached Debian Sid, and its awesome
Today, the 3rd of May 2010, KDE SC 4.4.3 has been uploaded to Debian Sid (Unstable). This is the first of the 4.4.x series that Debian has had (outside of the Experimental repository and an unofficial repository), and so far the whole of it is awesome.
