The Ultimate Blogging Client for Linux
Ever since i started a blog i had always wanted a wanted a application which would allow me do my blogging (preferably offline ) without having to use the web browser. One of the reasons for this was because i (as at then) did not have a stable Internet connection and had to go to Internet cafe to do my blogging which wasn’t really convenient.

WordPress 2.8.2 fixes an XSS vulnerability. Comment author URLs were not fully sanitized when displayed in the admin. This could be exploited to redirect you away from the admin to another site. Download 2.8.2 or automatically upgrade from the Tools->Upgrade page of your blog’s admin.

bti allows you to send twitter messages right from the command line. It works with both twitter.com and identi.ca. To use this program install the Ubuntu package with the same name (sudo apt-get install bti).

Five Desktop Blog Editors for GNU/Linux Users
Ask ten bloggers at random what they use to compose their blog posts and chances are that you might get ten different answers to that...For the GNU/Linux users though, the options are pretty limited and I am yet to see a full-blown, feature-rich desktop blog editor that could post to most of the popular blogging engines that are out there.
