It is supported by many that the AGPL license for network services which run in a cloud brings back the fairness provision that the original GPL intended and returns the freedom that FLOSS promises to all users and developers. But does the APGL license really provide all that?

This is my response, and an offer to start an Affrero GPL project that could be the first step to implementing it. The basics could work for most representative democracies, and of course AGPLing the code would ensure it remains open to 'Citizen 2.0' inspection.

Vietnamese Twitter-clone Saigonica violates AGPL
According to the Affero General Public License (AGPL), Saigonica must allow users to download the ‘modified’ version of this software. Furthermore, Saigonica MUST NOT remove the Source link from their Laconica site. By removing the Source link, Saigonica has openly violated of the AGPL.
