This time Linspire has signed a deal with Microsoft to license VOIP and Windows proprietary media formats and true type fonts. My question is why? In a first for South Africa, Linux Holdings have launched a full-time Linux Training Academy.
Kin Le Roux, MD of Linux Holdings explained that the Linux curriculum consists of four months full time Linux training and then a six months internship at an open source related company.

Linuxchix coordinator resigns amidst controversy
The top leader of Linuxchix resigned yesterday in the midst of a controversy over her leadership style. In a statement released to all Linuxchix mailing lists, coordinator Mary Gardiner said her decision was a difficult one, but because of a "mismatch in goals, LinuxChix should be run by someone with a better relationship with its current (implicit) goals."
