The Fanboi Stops Here
Personally, I was hesitant to make the move on my home computer. Why? Well if it ain't broke, don't fix it. We were using Red Hat back then at my shops. My people were trained and after the obligatory bitching, things settled down and worked well for us.

Debian celebrates its 17th birthday
The Debian Project is pleased to mark the 17th anniversary of its start. As the official project history states: "The Debian Project was officially founded by Ian Murdock on August 16th, 1993. Defending Free Software against Oracle's attack
To me writing code is a means of Free Speech, and the Free Software movement is about preserving my rights of Free Speech in the face of the US patent system which is trying to cut down what I can say.
