Disable tap-to-click on Ubuntu-EEE for Asus EEE PC
Looks like a lot of people have been having trouble with over the sensitive tap-to-click function of the Asus EEE PC's touchpads when using Ubuntu-EEE. I was too, until I stumbled across this article which explains precisely how to disable tap-to-click by enabling the elantech driver. The article is so low in pagerank that you can't find it by googling for the problem.

If you run Ubuntu, openSUSE, Debian, or Mandriva, among other distributions, then whenever you run OpenOffice.org you don't run the "official" version, but rather Go-OO, an office suite based on the OpenOffice.org source code. AbiWord Version 2.6.5 Works With Word 2007 and OpenOffice Writer
AbiWord has been my favorite open source word processor for a long time, and it's now out in a new version 2.6.5, which adds some excellent features. If you haven't used this application (for Windows or Linux) before, definitely download it, and if you already use it, go for the upgrade.

Why Boxee Might (One Day) Make Me a MythTV Ex-Pat | OStatic
I like MythTV for several reasons. It's not a project for the faint of heart, but it's less the fault of the software than the wild array of hardware that can be conceivably used in nearly every imaginable configuration. It is quite stable, and doesn't require hefty system specs. I didn't think overly about Boxee when I first heard of it. MythTV worked for me.
