With just less than one month left of class, I decided to see if my 8th Grade students at the American International School in Saigon would be interested in learning Linux. I am glad I tried because these kids seemed to be having a lot of fun.

Linux.com, which was taken over recently by the Linux Foundation and received a major overhaul, has gone live.  The site has a slicker look and contains a lot of useful information targeted at experienced Linux users.  Unfortunately, like the old Linux.com, the site is not a very intuitive resource for beginners.

Libre.fm is a free network service aimed at replacing Last.fm initially but also going beyond that to develop unique features of it’s own. The service is still in alpha at the moment but it’s developing really quickly.
