Singapore charity sets up Ubuntu LTS for dying children

The Singapore Linux Meetup Group (SLMG) and Club Rainbow, a charity that provides services for terminally ill children, have teamed up to create a 10 seat Edubuntu computer lab for the kids. Using donated hardware from the Overseas Family School and National University of Singapore, the Linux Meetup Group used to power of LTSP to deploy 9 thin clients and 1 combined desktop/server.

Black Hat USA 2007: That's a wrap

Black Hat USA 2007 was fast-paced, fun, and informative. It demonstrated that security is big business. The halls were lined with vendors, some new, some old, and the smell of money was everywhere. Still, I'm left thinking this year's show had a different tone to it than last year's.

Allahabad High Court Deploys 15,000 GNU/Linux laptops
