I’ve used SUSE Linux before, but that was way back in the day of version 9. Things have changed a lot since then, both with OpenSUSE (the open source incarnation of Novell’s SUSE Linux) and in the open source community as a whole.

Sometimes, a service pack comes along that really makes a big difference. Take NT. Before SP3, it was garbage; afterwards Microsoft had its first server operating system that was worth anything. XP before SP2 was so-so, but after SP2, it became Microsoft's best desktop operating system ever (sorry, Vista).

Most clipboard implementations only have the ability to store one item in them, so if you copy and paste a lot having space for one item only can be frustrating. Add to that the fact that selecting any text when using X11 (the underlying graphical platform underneath Linux) copies it to the clipboard in the default configuration, you can easily lose what you wanted to copy.
