BackBox Linux 3 review
Because it is based on Ubuntu, its installation program is Ubiquity, Ubuntu’s graphical installer. But the version of Ubiquity in BackBox 3 is the pre-Ubuntu 12.10 version, so full disk encryption and automatic LVM configuration are not supported.

Ext4 data corruption on new kernels
In short: ext4 users would be well advised to avoid versions 3.4.14, 3.4.15, 3.5.7, 3.6.2, and 3.6.3; they all contain a patch which can, in some situations, cause filesystem corruption. Investigation is underway.
