http://boycottnovell.com

A day ago we mentioned the tactless remarks from Ron Hovsepian, whose damage can affect not only Novell, but Novell’s (and Microsoft’s) rivals as well. What on earth was he thinking? Others ask themselves the same question.

Putting Windows On A Diet ... To Compete With Linux

http://www.informationweek.com

How scared is Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) of Linux? There's a hint or two of its fear in the fact that MS is preparing a special slim-and-trim version of Windows XP, within the next month or two, to run specifically on Asus's Eee PC. You'd think maybe it could have done this slimming-down sooner -- something that Linux already does without breaking a sweat.

http://lnxwalt.wordpress.com

Mr. Jones, if you really care about choice, implement ODF as a fully-native peer to OOXML and automatically download it in the next batch of updates, rather than using a partially-functional plug-in that has to be searched out and then downloaded. Or is it really Microsoft that is afraid?
