Camp KDE 2011 Announced
Camp KDE 2011 will be held April 4 and 5, 2011 in San Francisco, California at the Hotel Kabuki. Camp KDE is co-located this year with the Linux Foundation's Collaboration Summit which takes place April 6 and 7.

SourceForge.net passwords reset
SF.net's investigation uncovered evidence of password sniffing attempts. They have no evidence to suggest that the sniffing attempt was completed successfully. But, what they definitely don't want is to find out in 2 months that passwords were compromised and they didn't take action.

False Prophets And The Green Dragon
A week or so ago I became aware of a website called 'Resisting the Green Dragon' which was anti-environmentalist. In addition to being a writer, programmer, political junkie, and all round gadfly, I'm a lay priest, and as a lay priest what I was reading disturbed me at a very deep level.
So I wrote about it, and while it's not technically software, we all have to live on this planet!

Fuduntu 14.8 hits the streets
This update is released as a normal update for existing Fuduntu users and as the first quarterly Fuduntu ISO release for 2011.
The most notable change in this release is the addition of Linux Kernel 2.6.37, and the retiring of the BFS scheduler.
This quarterly release rolls up all changes made since 14.7 into new installable media for new users.
