Thanks to the hard work of local groups around the world, Document Freedom Day 2013 was larger than ever, with 59 events in 30 countries. Several of these were celebrating for the first time, including Niger, Indonesia, and the United States.

LinuxDevices reopens as LinuxGizmos
LinuxDevices shut down about a year ago. It has reopened as LinuxGizmos. There's no link from the old site to the new one. The site coversthe use of embedded systems and mobile devices and applications.

KDE Akademy and Qt Contributor Summit Join Forces
In July 2013, Akademy — the KDE community summit — will host the Qt Contributor Summit (QtCS) in Bilbao, Spain. QtCS is THE gathering of the Qt Project contributor community.
