There were several things I was really looking forward to in Vista that are simply missing in action or broken. These are features I'd really hope would improve my productivity and make life a little easier.

And how exactly is that crap related to free software ?
Wake up people, stop trying to promote free software by bashing restricted software. You are doing them a favor. Just check the Google adds on the left, offering me to "Run Windows Vista on your Intel Mac with Parallel Desktop" or to "Run Windows apps without a Windows OS license. Free Trial".
People coming to this site expect to find articles about Free Software (as the name says), not the same ms crap over and over again. They will go find it elsewhere.

FSD does have an opposition section
FSD does have an opposition section for posting news and articles that keep us informed of what the opposition to free software is up to and what they are saying about free software. I often forward articles from the opposition category to friends who have recently converted to using foss so they can see what they are no longer having to deal with
Oh BTW you can submit articles too you know.

OR we can stop providing the same tired excuses and recongize this as a valid point. I myself have brought it up on several occassions and see that no changes have been made.

Please excuse my rage, but I have absolutely no respect for hypocrite companies. I am not _using_ free software, I am _working_ with free software, and trying to make a decent living from it.
So when some (unprintable words) company attacks our community, I see it as a personal attack. So I wouldn't throw a pie in its chairman's face, but poke him in the eye with a broken Vista CD (pun intended :)
And when I see an article like that on a free software site, it's sad, because they win.

I think this article is here because the foss community (at least of FSDaily) think that it is good to hear examples of MS not delivering on their promises. It's good news for us because there is more reason to look for alternatives.
You might not agree with that perspective and you can bury the story. Either way you can voice your opinion (as long as you aren't abusing anyone :) ).
