While going over Linux Hater's Blog, I can best describe it as Béranger on anabolic steroids. I'm sorry if I can't find a better description than that, but for clarity sake, I would simply put Linux Hater's blog as a series of rants against Linux as well as other open source software.

Whatever your feelings are about Linux (or Windows, or OS X , or ...) you really should check out the Linux Hater's Blog...It's actually farther from all-out-flaming than you'd think and basically challenges the Linux community to do better.

Now, some of you — free/open-source software enthusiasts — may have seen such posts back and forth between Bryan Lunduke — from “The Linux Action Show” — and the “Linux Hater” — from his lame blog (in his own words) — let me analyze this for a second.

Oh good. Linux Hater has replied to my challenge to stop being anonymous and debate me. And, look at that, it is a numbered list of excuses why he isn’t going to man up.

Well just to throw an additional spanner in the works, life-long Windows user though still the rampant Microsoft hater that I am, I have finally made the jump from Windows 7 - still a great operating system, to Ubuntu 10.04.

In case you have read our articles, you know that I’ve been doing plenty of distro hopping recently. The freedom of choice is one thing that Linux fans often boast about – you can choose in between hundreds of Linux distributions, a number of desktop environments and so on.

Freecom just brought a brand new product to the Dutch market called the “Musicpal“. On the box it says it’s supported for Windows and Mac, although its software is based on Linux Kernel. Stubborn and Windows/Mac hater as I am, I decided to buy this nice product convinced of managing to make it work somehow in Ubuntu (Linux geek as I am!). Two days later I managed to make it work!

I’m not a hater of Ubuntu by any means. I think it’s done a ton of good for Linux. However, I do have a problem with some of rather “excitable” users in the Ubuntu community. Let’s take a look.
