Trial briefs have been filed by the parties in SCO v. Novell. Novell filed one originally filed back in September of 2007, but SCO filed for bankruptcy in Delaware instead of filing a trial brief in Utah.
Now that SCO has filed its appeal brief in SCO v. Novell, let's get back to the trial itself. We've already done the first four days' transcripts, and here is the transcript of day five, as text, of the SCO v. Novell trial.
SCO and Novell have filed the most documents -- 16 filings, plus exhibits -- we've ever had in a single day. That only happens when I say I need to go to the beach. But one of the nicest things happened. Novell has responded [PDF] to SCO's slur against Groklaw

I know the first thing you wanted to know after you heard that Red Hat and Novell had prevailed and the jury had
found that IP Innovation's patents were worthless was this: did we at Groklaw help when we did prior art searching? The answer is, Yes. It turns out that you did.
They played videos in court today, day 4 of SCO v. Novell's jury trial. SCO claims it has a surprise witness, like that surprises anyone that has been following SCO's legal ways. There was a dispute about that, but I gather it will happen eventually.
