M$-troll alert!!
Spoken like a true M$ troll. Ballmer will have you up for the weekend at Redmond and personally present you with a FREE copy of Vista MkII beta(you know - the one that expires next year....the cheap-skates)
Anyway, I decided to take your own advice and vote this poor excuse for an article DOWN. Gratuitous cursing and swearing is always a sure-fire indicator of the mentality of the author. It sounds just like Ballmer does when his latest trickery appears on the excellent Boycott Novell site.
Plan 1, to silence Boycott Novell, was a vicious denial of service attack that failed.
Plan 2 must be you.
No wonder these monopolists are headed straight downhill.

So, other than regurgitated insults, propoganda, and hate, do you actually have anything logical to add to this discussion? Regardless of stance, we both can agree that having one source spamming up the front of FS Daily is a bad thing. Boycott Novell's self-citing yellow journalism is based heavily on opinion and fanboyism. It creates the very FUD it claims to fight, and is splitting the Free Software community in two.
The imaginary corporate shill you label me as would not speak this way, yes?

What "discussion"?
"So, other than regurgitated insults, propoganda, and hate, do you actually have anything logical to add to this discussion?"
Sir Sane's "discussion".
"FUD from Shitzforwitz"
"I'm quite frankly tired of this sh**."
"vote down the bull****."
"They think they're Winston F*****g Churchill, encouraging the world with their "bold, obviously true" statements. F*** you!"
Discussion?
You call that hate-filled, gutter-mouthed tirade a "discussion"? It's certainly the sort of "discussion" you might hear down in cell-block D, but not the sort of course expression that should appear in a dignified Free Software publication where young children might be seeking enlightenment on the subject.
You never see this sort of trash-talk in Boycott Novell, either.
"The imaginary corporate shill you label me as would not speak this way, yes?"
Hang on! I wasn't making the above-comments to Mr. Psychopath, they were addressed to the foul-mouthed Sir Sane on the linsux site(the very name indicates the antipathy they display towards Free Software). Sir Sane is depicted as an entity who looks like he just escaped from an Alice Cooper look-alike contest, or an asylum.
Do all M$-trolls look like this?

Mr. Psychopath/Sir Sane, surely your not serious?

You of all people pointing an accusing finger at someone for "regurgitated insults", "propoganda"(sic), and "hate"? Are you for serious? I'd quote some of your posts from linsux, but I honestly wouldn't be able to choose which one to start with, if you are nothing else, you are very prolific.
As for FUD and splitting the OSS community in two, that seems to be exactly what linsux.org's mission is as well; again you have a fistful of your own fingers pointing right back at you. Oh I know, you claim your goal is to weed out fanboys and zealots, all while you yourself being knuckle deep in a crusade, but I don't believe it; and, if I were inclined to give you benefit of the doubt, I'd still come to the conclusion that your proposed ends do not justify your current means.
I personally do not believe you to be a corporate shill, I think your much more dangerous; your a zealot, your so caught up in your personal ideals that in your war to hack down anything you perceive as contrary to them, you end up defeating yourself and your purpose falls on deaf if not irritated ears.
Do try to bear in mind, "Le mieux est l'ennemi du bien."

lol!
You misunderstand the situation. It's much simpler than that.
Mr. Psychopath = Sir Sane
It's really not that hard when you think about it.
Linsux is the premiere "Anti-Linux" site, but internally it's really run by a group of Linux enthusiasts that pretend to be in favor of proprietary Astro-Turfing. The personas I put on reflect the spirit of free software as Mr. Psychopath (The Radical) and Sir Sane (The Conservative Sedentary).
It's an extremely strange concept, I assure you. However, you have to admit that having depressing "Hate Microsoft!" news covering FS Daily all the time doesn't exactly lighten the mood of the FOSS community. It just basically says "We're being persecuted!" instead of "Look what we've accomplished today!"
A good point of reference is to watch the reports of Edward R. Murrow. Although he was exceedingly alarmist, he always banked on the probability of human good, as opposed to just frightening people.
Hope is a better rallying point than fear. Satire is a better selling point than FUD.

So what? You use your own dirty tactics to promote your community's articles. Some guy probably just read this on linsux and said "Huh, guess I'll just go help him out."
More importantly: putting a dollar sign inside of a corporate name does not make you clever, individualistic, or funny. You are not a unique snowflake.

Concerning Mr. Psychopath/Sir Sane
This guy and his "crew"(is this the rest of them? https://www.miroguide.com/items/2005162) spend their free time "forum raiding", and this is nothing but the next forum in a long line of many they have come in and wreaked havoc on; in fact, this post http://linsux.org/index.php/topic,1147.0.html shows what the true intention and interest of linsux is concerning fsdaily. I know, you'd think Sean Tilley, the self proclaimed "Wonderboy"(http://www.seanrtilley.blogspot.com/) would have something better to do; what, with also being a self professed intelligent young man, you'd think he'd be out with girls, but no, he spends his free time forum raiding, and pretty much bad mouthing anyone who does not support his crusade.
GL with that business you were talking about getting started Sean, your gonna need more than a cocky attitude to win over customers; they are going to demand your respect; indeed, IF you can actually manage to ever get a customer (provided you actually have enough mud in you to get the capital together to even start) they will have paid for it.
You'll notice that the linsux community DEMANDS intelligent conversation, yet do nothing, zilch, zero, nadda, to engage in it. Read their forums sometime, I quote Mr. Psychopath/Sir Sane when he claims that people can not keep up with linsux.org's "complicated (and I'll admit vulgar) humor"(http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=7413474&postcount=26); if the material found on linsux.org is ones idea of complex humor, well, I'm sure I never want to see what one would consider simple...

Hate to disappoint, BUT....
The group of people in the first link are actually from a comedy show I was producing under the Creative Commons. Sadly, the group somewhat fell apart due to numerous reasons (Attribute whatever you will here, we teenagers are a busy bunch with an ever-decreasing attention span, an ever-shifting schedule, and ever-ensuing drama, needless to say this show failed miserably)
That said, I will admit that in light of that, you're right. I am horribly hypocritical at times...
By the way, thanks for the good luck wishes! I know you meant it sarcastically to hurt me, but I really hope that business takes off someday. Let's face it, I don't know you, and you don't know me. You could be the raddest, most awesomest guy in real life, and so can I. However, we're both contributing to a system on the internet in which a lack of information on the other person creates a dislike of one another. For all I know, I could run into you at the grocery store tomorrow and end up being your bestest friend. You never know.

Linsux.org is a clown-car.
I pity these fools. I guess the only excuse is that they appear to be young and probably living in small towns with too much time on their hands.
Perhaps this is their introduction to society, but it's not going very well so far.

Hmm.
By transitive property, can clown car = satire?
You'll blast me, my dear Balzac, for "hiding under the guise of satire", but the fact is that Linsux.org is NEVER meant to be taken seriously in any light. It is a site of Free Speech, including Hate Speech. Those rights are exercised by our members due to a plethora of ideological freedom. Like it or not, we can continue bullshitting as often as we feel up to it.

Alright, seriously now..!
Please excuse me for what I'm gonna say now if it's a little harsh people, but it really must be said:
First: To all those Linsux.org children who have almost nothing useful or fruitful to do but yapping nonsense all around the internet, regardless of whether they support FOSS or not:
"Either grow up, or go change your diapers for God's sake!"
Second: Again, to all those Linsux.org children: If you don't like any article on FSDaily, then all you basically have to do is NOT read it. See? It's absolutely that simple!
Third: Please learn to respect the people around this site, as well as other sites. This site is a place where no body appreciates to read an article full nothing -absolutely NOTHING- but trash-talk, and time-wasting brags and insults to other people.
Four: If you think you are really smart, and you believe that Schestowitz is wrong, and you're right, and you have just enough evidence to prove that, why not writing a professional and polite article discussing it, instead of just yapping around in such a rude and childish manner?!
Fifth: Instead of childishly whining about those "gloomy, frightening.." (sic) articles by the BN community, can you please tell us in short, what exactly, did you do for the FOSS community?
[That's of course IF you are really a supporter of FOSS, and not just another M$ troll/fanatic/fanboi/whatever]
Mr. Psychopath

Actually...
A majority of my serious articles can be found at the following locations:
-http://seantilleywritesalot.blogspot.com
If you suddenly put things in perspective, you'll release about 90% of the things I write are completely in support of the FOSS community. I like to focus on the positive things going on in my real articles, Roy's expertise seems to be the negative ones.
I will be writing a serious follow-up article about Boycott Novell, if you'd like my true, honest opinion of what it's doing to the community.

Okay this is funny..
Well, the If you really do have the ability to write professional and serious articles, why did you post this childish pointless article then?
Plus, I still don't see how BN's articles are as intimidating as you've described them. It's not BN's fault that Microsoft is an evil company that is doing anything it can to strangle the FOSS community and extinguish all sorts of competition.
