When you think mono, you think tired. You think sleepy. You think shut-yourself-up-in-your-bedroom-for-two-weeks-and-snooze-like-Rip-Van-Winkle. You get the idea. But that is not how it should be. Mono isn’t boring. Mono should excite people!

Mono, Glandular fever or its proper name, Mononucleosis is a very infectious disease which many people suffer through in their childhood. It usually has a stigma attached to it and is used in a slang form for ridicule or alienation. Related by the shortened name to this biological virus is the Mono project for Linux.

There has been a lot of pro-Mono and anti-Mono arguments assaulting the community of late. The debate is not new but both sides have taken up arms since some distributions have decided to either remove Mono or include Mono by default.

I’m f*cking tired of hearing random people screaming out why mono is cool or not. These kind of people don’t even know what coding is about, or they just learned Java or C# at university and they’re like “oh shit, I can code!!”. STOP THAT.

But when you install a software you never know if it contains Mono or not. That is where Mononono(sounds real funny, eh?) comes in.
