Tell me, is anyone of significance -- besides the Samba Group for its CIFS (Common Internet File System) Windows-compatible file and print server program, and the license's creators, the FSF (Free Software Foundation) -- going to adopt the GPLv3 (GNU General Public License Version 3)?

Hi, That more people are using

Hi,

That more people are using the GPL :-D
These articles are grating. I voted for it only because I think it's important for us to know what these people are saying. Unfortunately, some people believe them...

The author of the article is full of crap.

Big-talk from a reactionary "open source" zealot.

No need to call names. Let just keep the atmosphere friendly and not descend into teen angst-fest. Agree?

I don't agree.

I found the author's attitude to be very disagreeable and I labeled him an "open source" zealot.

I won't tie my hands with a vow of civil discourse while they remain on the offensive. Anyway, I have a completely different idea of what constitutes civil discourse. Deception is vulgar and uncivil, while truth is always civil, even when served with a bit of scorn.

I'm tired of open source advocates disrespecting the FSF, free software ideals, and diminishing the achievements of the free software movement.

If you want an end to name-calling, please complain to Linus Torvalds and his sycophantic cheap-shot artists who constantly snipe at RMS and the FSF.

Myself, I have a thick skin and I'm not worried about it. They can do their worst and the chips can fall where they may.

Cheers.
