The Linux Foundation today announced that LG Electronics is its newest member. LG will participate in the Linux Foundation’s events and community development efforts.

We live in the age of the spinmeister, the age when language is used more as a means to confuse than to educate, an age when obfuscation is preferred to clarification. Novell today introduced a new suite of workgroup applications for small businesses, based on "proven," open standards-based software. The Novell Open Workgroup Suite Small Business Edition includes Linux server and desktop components, and bundles email, collaboration, and other open-source office products.

With this post I would like to publish my ideas on a issue we face when we promote Ubuntu, however I am almost certain that the same applies for various distribution projects. Whenever I participate in events, I hear people say “Ubuntu is not free” and after many years of reflection, I would like to add a comment on this.
