It seems that a full scale mutiny and rebellion against the music labels has begun. Several major bands, including Oasis, Jamiroquai and Radiohead as well as rock band "Throwdown" have gone together to encourage their fans to download their music. Hopefully this news is a sign that we are moving into a new era in music that will see open source music (where albums are distributed with all of the samples and tracks that were recorded before the production process turned them into the finished product) become more widely available, especially considering we now have greater storage capacity media like DVDs and HD-DVDs available for storing all of the content that goes into making the music.

Trent Reznor (from Nine Inch Nails and the producer of Marilyn Manson) also recently came out against high CD prices in Australia and has said he "wants to offer $4 dollar album downloads at a bitrate of your choice, and blames the record industry for its own problems by having ripped off customers for so many years." Quote from the article: Trent Reznor: "I steal music too" - http://www.zeropaid.com/news/8800/Trent+Reznor:+'I+steal+music+too'

The music labels could really help
The music labels could really help the bands as respectable marketeers not the sick pyscho-path they're being.
The music labels could be part of the revolution, but unfortunately they choose to take the suicide pill.
The countdown to their death are accelerating as they continue to go suing customers.
In the end, we won't miss when the companies behind the RIAA die out. Good riddance.
