This is a Python tutorial that tries to touch on most areas of the Python language, but attempts to be very simple so that people who have never done any sort of programming can grasp it.

Python programming is all the rage, because the language has such simple, clean syntax, is easy to learn and has lots of libraries available. But best of all, you're not limited to writing command-line applications. Python has at least four ways to make graphical apps, but today I'll concentrate on one: TkInter.

In our last tutorial, we met the concept of functions. It turns out that functions (and another concept called classes, which we haven't got to yet) are the workhorse of Python. Almost everything you will end up doing with Python will involve the use of functions.
