GNU Debugger is now available. GDB is a source-level debugger for Ada, C, C++, Objective-C, Pascal and many other languages. GDB can target (i.e., debug programs running on) more than a dozen different processor architectures, and GDB itself can run on most popular GNU/Linux, Unix and other OS variants.

The Bash Debugger Project (bashdb) lets you set breakpoints, inspect variables, perform a backtrace, and step through a bash script line by line. In other words, it provides the features you expect in a C/C++ debugger to anyone programming a bash script.

LLDB is a modern debugger infrastructure which is built (like the rest of LLVM) as a series of modular and reusable libraries. LLDB builds on existing LLVM technologies like the enhanced disassembler APIs, the Clang ASTs and expression parser, the LLVM code generator and JIT compiler.

The Wine development release 1.1.35 is now available.

Here a quick heads up on Urdu language support on Emacs-snapshot-gtk (1:20080228-1ubuntu1) on Ubuntu Hardy Heron. Apart from the missing characters and even language direction gets messed up, its good to see some Unicode support but there is a long way yet, I still have to use gedit for editing language files.

GCC 4.6 brings support for the new Go programming language, improved experimental support for the C++0x standard, support for Android Bionic C library, support fot ARM Cortex-M4, basic support for the Cortex-A15, Intel Core 2 and Core i7 optimizations, support for AMD Bobcat CPUs and more.
