The long awaited SimplyMEPIS 7.0 was finally released just before Christmas, and it was worth the wait. In this mature and sometimes underrated operating system, everything looks good and works well.

Several bugs have been fixed and new options and features have been added, including an option to hardlink files between working trees.
Bazaar is distributed revision control system allowing multiple people to have their own branch of a project, and merge code efficiently between them. It enables new contributors to immediately access to the full tools that previously have been limited to just the committers to a project. This release marks the start of another long-term-stable series.
Exaile 0.3.1 beta (a music manager and player for GTK+ written in Python) has been released today and it's a preview of the new 0.3.1 version but should still be pretty stable to use already! The new Exaile version finally adds a long awaited equalizer, but also includes a revamped and much more powerful tag editor (ExFaso):

PlayOnLinux version 3.4 has been released and it has some long awaited new features and as always bug fixes and tweaks. Also a new version of the PlayOnLinux website will be coming soon, so keep a eye on the site for these future updates.
