I thought they were not going to
I thought they were not going to go into 3d work with the free software radeon drivers until next year... Also aren't they getting specs for the hardware directly from ATI, which would mean that they wouldn't need to 'reverse' engineer the driver, as stated in the article? Perhaps I'm thinking of something different.
