RawTherapee 3.0, a free RAW converter was released today licensed under GPL. The first alpha version of RawTherapee 3.0 is available for download. Note that this is not a feature complete version. In V3.0 both major GUI/workflow and algorithm changes are planned. This alpha version demonstrates the new, much more efficient GUI, but it does not contain any algorithmic changes yet.

If you played ClanBomber, you may have noticed that it is no longer maintained. Granatier is a ClanBomber clone which in turn is a Bomberman clone. Currently Granatier implements everything from Clanbomber, except the AI. The default ClanBomber maps are also included. Granatier will be released on February 9 as part of KDE Software Compilation 4.4

Most KDE4 users know the default KDE media player Dragon player. It is simple and easy. In this post I will introduce you a new media player for KDE4 which intends to be simple in stylish way, more integration with KDE4 technologies like phonon and Nepomuk, and has more features than Dragon player. On his latest post titled “Foresight Linux is dead?“, Thilo Pfennigs rightly asks the question that many of the current Foresight Linux users may be asking themselves. With the current stable release dated as of May 2009 and no explicit roadmap stating when the next release will be published, is it really safe to say that Foresight Linux is indeed dead?
