A news aggregator eliminates the need for surfing the Web as much. Instead of going to all the Web pages you have bookmarked to read your favorite blogs, news, or media presentations, you can simply add an RSS/RDF or Atom syndication format to Liferea and have all the news feeds at your command.

I get a lot of my news via rss feeds. For that purpose, I really like Liferea. Liferea is a consistently good feed reader and aggregator for Linux. I have used it since the 1.0 series and have always been pleased.

Many websites offer feeds as a way to promote most recently added articles, stories or updates. Most of these are accessible through links titled “XML” “RSS” or “ATOM”. These different types of feeds all use the same fundamentals to bring you the latest from a specific website.

Liferea developers have announced the availability of the first stable version of the 1.6.x series. Liferea (Linux Feed Reader) is an aggregator for online news feeds. There are many other news readers available, but these others are not available for Linux or require many extra libraries to be installed.

You can now add FSDaily news feeds to your website or homepage. The block will show the latest news from one of our great feeds.

Lucidor, a desktop program that reads e-books, is available in version 0.6. The open source software can also read and archive Web feeds.

While you can code an RSS feed by hand, you'd be better off using a dedicated tool like ListGarden. It can help you to not only create and manage RSS feeds, but also to do more advanced tasks like publish the feeds on a remote server, back up the feeds, generate an HTML page, and much more.

As I was browsing through the feeds in liferea, I happened upon this little gem. Being a fan of home replacement apps for Android devices, I opened it and began reading. That article contained little information about Zeam Launcher so I installed it from the Android market. Here's what I found.
