Mozilla Labs has released a new open source messaging platform prototype called Raindrop. The project offers a powerful Web-based interface for interacting with messaging systems like Skype and e-mail—but installation is not for the faint of heart.

By the time you read this Karmic Koala will have been released to a waiting world, but I couldn't wait. A felicitous combination of a desire to do a distribution upgrade to the release candidate and a Twitter arriving on my laptop giving me a link to Raindrop kept me busy for the day.

Mozilla Labs has launched a new project, simply called Mozilla Labs Gaming, aimed at helping tame developers create games for the web using open web technologies, such as HTML5, WebGL and fast JavaScript engines

hot on the heels of Mozilla Lab’s call for participation in exploring the future of the browser, and the experimental Weave service, comes Mozilla’s efforts to move messaging beyond email and to the types of communication now commonplace across social networks, blogs and services such as Twitter.

Mozilla Labs is what it name stands for. A place where people come together virtually to produce creative works mostly web based technologies. Mozilla Labs hosts a number of popular projects and involves active community participation.

The newest Project of Mozilla labs was "Weave". It allows the user to save his browser settings on Mozilla servers (Favorites, sessions ,passwords...etc..) and be able to load it wherever he is.
