Canonical is looking into selling proprietary software like Adobe's Photoshop and Apple's iTunes within its distribution, Ubuntu. This would undoubtedly be helpful for certain end users wanting to switch to Linux, but is it good for free software in the long run?

Bad, bad, bad, and worse!
Bloody hell, Ubuntu, if you want to go down that route, why not do a deal with Ballmer and start flogging Windows 7 through your flaming repositories!
Novell's already proved, conclusively, that nobody loves you when you've got a foot in both camps.
Do you really want Boycott Novell to turn into Boycott Novell(and Ubuntu)?
Even Ballmer will be sneering at you while he authorises the inch-thick headlines Ubuntu joins M$-Novell Pact.
Stop listening to the M$-Subversives, like "M$-Miguel" de Icaza, and start being proud of your heritage in the Free Software Community.
