I've already written two Pardus reviews -- 2007 Beta 2 and 2007.1. So it's time for a review of 2007.2 Caracal release. In this article I will focus on the key changes and my personal thoughts concerning this interesting distribution.

Pardus 2011, the latest stable release, is the first to ship with a new installation program, which brings LVM and RAID support to Pardus. This article presents a detailed review of Pardus 2011, made available for download on January 20, 2011.
Pardus Corporate 2 is the corporate (professional) edition of Pardus, the Linux distribution developed and maintained by the National Research Institute of Electronics and Cryptology (UEKAE), Turkey. This is the first beta, released on December 13. The final release will be made available on February 16, 2011 (see the release schedule).

Before using Pardus, I had read in the Pardus release announcement that Pardus had been “improved graphically in every part of the distribution”. It takes about 3 seconds to realize this as you put in the Pardus CD and immediately notice splash screens that have been updated from bootloader to login screen.
Because Pardus 2007 left a lasting impression on me, I have been eagerly waiting for its next release. So when the stable version of Pardus 2008 came out just recently, I never hesitated to try and test this promising distro from Turkey once again.
Another exciting month has almost passed. So far, I tried and tested two equally fantastic and capable Linux distributions. Wolvix 1.1.0 and Pardus 2007.3 are well-crafted distros that truly deserve some attention. Some might ask which one is better between the two. There’s only one way to find out. Let’s put Wolvix and Pardus on stage and start a distrowar.
