I thought it would be handy if I could come up with a script to keep track of my current IP address for me. The first step is to find out my current IP address. In my case, I have a SpeedStream 5100 DSL modem. The address of the modem on the local network is 192.168.0.1 and entering that address into a web browser will bring up a page that looks like this.
