Since KDE 4.3 has been released, various reviews have appeared on the web. The DOT had a look at some of them. Polishlinux once again offers an extensive review with many screenshots showing what is new in KDE 4.3. According to Korneliusz Jarz?bski, "Finally the day has come, when the curiosity about the KDE4.3 development branch took the better of me.".

The Google Android Developers have announced the release of an "early look" of the Software Development Kit (SDK) for Android version 1.5. The new SDK provides a preview of the cupcake branch of the open source mobile platform and is based on the 2.6.27 Linux kernel.

I was pleased to hear a while ago that K3b got two new developers assigned by the Mandriva project and that work at the KDE4 port is going well now.

I installed KDE4 on my desktop today so I could finally try out KWin in all its glory. If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend it. KDE4 with desktop effects enabled is simply gorgeous. It's fast, responsive, and comes with a nice array of effects options.

I know it is not so nice to complain and bash a project when you don't contribute to it. And yes until now, I did not contributed to the KDE4 desktop as I wished. I compiled it regularly and used the libraries, but did not run the KDE4 desktop or KDE4 version of the applications except KDevelop and Quanta.
