Two months after the release of OpenShot 1.0, the OpenShot developers have released version 1.10 of their open source video editor for Linux. The 1.10 release of OpenShot will be included in the Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" software center

When Lucid Lynx ships in April, it will come with a video editor installed by default, which will be a first for Ubuntu. With this in mind, I decided to test drive OpenShot, an open-source, nonlinear editor that reached its 1.0 release very recently.

A while ago I was telling you about a new Linux non-linear video editor with some great features, called OpenShot. At the time of that post, you needed to compile OpenShot to be able to use it, but now you can download the latest version, 0.9.22 (Developer Preview) in Ubuntu .deb packages.

OpenShot 1.1 (non-linear video editor) was released yesterday and it addresses 40 bugs and features.

The most requested feature was probably the "Undo / Redo" support which has finally been included in OpenShot.
