Yesterday I wrote about PCMan File Manager, which among other things offers better control over file permissions. Commenter Gavintlgold pointed out that’s it’s possible to get a similar dialog in Nautilus by changing a hidden setting in GNOME.

I've downloaded some great themes for Firefox. Unfortunately not all of them works the way they should. The most common problem is disappearing menu text when mouse pointer hover above it.
You see not themes are made for specific edition and version of Firefox. Not all Firefox created equally I suppose. So here's 3 (for now) Firefox themes that I love to use (tested on Linux Firefox 3.0.6)

The pace at which Mozilla works can seem insane. It was less than a month ago when the the company released Firefox 3.5. Only three weeks later, Firefox posted screenshots of Firefox 3.7, which includes a change to the Tools bar and an Embracing Glass design.

But the ambition doesn’t end there. The Firefox team is looking even farther in the future: all the way to Firefox 4.0.

There are many dialog programs out there, Zenity, Kdialog, xdialog, etc. I love programs like these. They make it so easy to spice up a shell script with a little GUI action. Today I'm going to go look at a dialog program called gxmessage.

The Mozilla Firefox developers are working on several different branches of the web browser at the same time. The latest public version, Firefox 3.6.6 just released today, and Firefox 3.7 which will be renamed to Firefox 4.0 later this year.

Somewhere between Firefox 3 RCs and the official release my StumbleUpon decided to break. I’m not sure what happened, and I even tried the latest beta, but whenever I tried to submit a new page I’d get an error dialog that auto-closed so quickly I still don’t know what it said. But thanks to the SU Help Forums I found something that did the job for me.

I mentioned yesterday that I’ve been hunting some things down for Epiphany, the GNOME web browser, and I was hoping that Epiphany 2.24.1, the current version in Ubuntu Intrepid, was good enough to let me kick out Firefox when version 3.1 comes out.
