I already have a Gmail-checking program. It's called Thunderbird. Don't people know Gmail supports POP3 now?

XMPP clients like Gajim, Gaim etc.

XMPP clients like Gajim, Gaim etc. also support notification of new mails :)

Blah, do we need another program to kill our time by feeding us emails to check?

Check it at a certain period like once a day and you'll be all the more productive.
