Spotted at Amiga's Pepcom booth, the GP2X handheld, from Korea's Gamepark holdings, made for a whiplash double-take: the best computer of the 1980s emulated on a portable? Alas, no, but it was nice to see this thing in the flesh, after it being out for ages but all-too-rare on these shores.

Real nice and real Hackable

I actually looked into buying one of these about 6 months ago and bought the N800 instead. However as the n800 might have some cool features I did a lot of research on this device as well before they developed the touch screen and there docking Bay (which im disappointed that they didn't put a Ethernet slot on the docking bay though i think with a little hacking and such you could probably do a USB to ethernet adapter and maybe mount in a NFS share or something). If this hasn't been cooked up with then since i looked over there forums and such. The support of SDHC is a + for this device as it moves this device into the common era of cheaper 4GB & 8GB SDHC cards vs 4GB to 8GB SD cards (pain to find for a "decent" price). Regardless I believe there still is an Overclock mode which clocks up the CPU but shorten Battery life as well.
