Google Desktop is non-free closed source software. Downvoted because freedom is the most important thing, and Google Desktop shouldn't be overviewed at all. Article is written by non-freedom loving man, that is why I can not trust him anyway in questions of software choice.
He's a freedom-hating, proprietary-software-promoting man, JUST because he reviewed Google Desktop along with 5 other Free Software alternatives?
I don't get it. Certainly, Google Desktop is closed source, there's no arguing there. But Linux IS a Free Software platform, even if proprietary software runs on it in some instances. He's just comparing different desktop search tools, what's so bad about that? 5 out of the 6 ARE Free Software, and he reviewed them all favorably for different reasons.
