Closed Linux driver problems described
Binary-only Linux drivers will never work for the majority of Linux users, Harald Welte told hardware developers at a Taipei conference. The Linux kernel's lack of an ABI and intentional lack of stable APIs make binary drivers a losing battle purely for technical reasons, he suggests.

Why I moved to Gnome
I’ve been a KDE user basically since I started using Linux. The Qt toolkit’s default theme was much more visually appealing than GTK+, KDE’s purple and silver (remember back when there was no blue to speak of in Kubuntu?) was a nicer mix than Ubuntu’s orange and brown, and the KDE apps were pretty awesome. Despite this, I’m now sitting here in front of a clean Ubuntu Intrepid install.

Disabled Boy Creates Art With Gimp
This young man never ceases to amaze me. He attended a screencast introducing free software image manipulation software 'Gimp' at the C³ - Community Computing Center in Bangalore and loved it.
