FSF India's FAQ on Various recent issues including recent Boycott Novell Protest
FSF India condemns the attack on free software activists who were criticizing Novell in a nonviolent and legitimate way.
Two of the FSF India board members, Dr V. Sasikumar and Mr M. Arun, joined other free software activists to protest against man-handling of peaceful free software campaigners. This protest was also stopped by authorities in an authoritarian and undemocratic manner.

The Vi input mode for Kate is “done”
I just marked the Vi input mode (”V.I.M.”?) for the Kate kpart as done in the feature plan for KDE 4.2. It feels a bit weird to mark it as done, though, as there are tonnes of things I want to implement after KDE 4.2.

Free as in Freedom, Not Free as in Freeloader
Thanks to Canonical and its success with popularizing Ubuntu Linux, there has been an astonishing influx of new Linux users. This is one of those good news -- bad news scenarios; the growth is wonderful, but it also brings a growth in user demands, and a carryover of bad habits from the closed, proprietary software world.
